Project Operations Coordinator

(Or call it whatever you like, we’ll get back to that later)

Who we are and why you matter
Chances are you don’t know us yet. That’s fine. Let’s introduce ourselves: We are Chemploy & ChemXpro! Big fans of digital life hacks, the Efteling, and inspiring walks in nature. We’re a team of professionals in the chemical, pharma, and food industries, working to make these sectors cleaner, safer, and healthier. Our projects run through ChemXpro, an engineering firm built on “Proper Engineering”: thinking clearly, speaking plainly, and delivering exactly what’s needed. As simple as possible, as complex as necessary.

We believe in “Chemistry in Employment”: the power of real connection, mutual trust, freedom & responsibility, and working together from shared values. Not empty words, but a practical work culture where principles like “Work To Gether” and “Own It” are lived every day.

And that’s exactly why we’re looking for you. Not to fix chaos, but to protect structure, keep the overview, and support our growth in a smart way. To make sure that behind the scenes, everything runs as it should. Or better yet: smoother than ever.

What you’ll do

You’re the lubricant in our project machine and the glue between all the moving parts: you keep things flowing smoothly, make them stick where they need to, and prevent sand from getting into the gears or loose ends from showing up in the planning. Concretely, this means:

  • Document sign-off, release, and management:professionally formatted and always the right version, in the right place, with the right person.
  • Project controlling:keeping a finger on the pulse for hours, costs, progress, planning, and deliverables — all neatly in the right formats and dashboards so project management knows exactly where we stand.
  • Deadline monitoring:spotting bottlenecks before they happen.
  • Resource insight:knowing who’s doing what, when, for how many hours, and why things sometimes shift.
  • Financial support:helping with invoicing, debtor management, and financial planning (sounds heavy, but trust us — it’s not ).
  • Structure & order:keeping project folders and administrative processes neat and clear.
  • Communication:critical yet friendly, maintaining oversight, and bringing calm.

What you bring

  • We’re looking for someone with a bachelor’s or master’s background who can keep the overview, think ahead, and communicate clearly.
  • You navigate effortlessly between smart functions and zoom through dynamic arrays (Excel).
  • You stroll easily through our bustling café (Teams), know exactly where everything is in the basement (SharePoint), move pieces around on the sharp planning board (Planner), and rest on the solid foundation underneath (Azure).
  • You love clarity. Structure gives you both peace and results.
  • You notice when something’s off, and you address it right away.
  • You’re professional, precise, and pleasant to work with.
  • You feel responsible yet remain relaxed.
  • Our working language is English but Dutch skills are a massive plus.
  • Experience is welcome, but even if you’re new to this kind of work, if you’ve got a sharp mind, we want to meet you.

What you get from us

  • You’ll work from our office in Den Bosch in a beautiful old building full of new ideas. Plus:
    • A position of 28–36 hours/week, spread over 4 or 5 days (we’re flexible)
    • An international, diverse team (there’s always someone bringing in treats)
    • Unlimited vacation days (as long as you get your job done)
    • Free mealsand books (yes, really)
    • Coaching and training from external experts (we think this is important)
    • NS Business Card, a bike, or both. Your choice
    • And a salary you get to propose (as long as it’s honest and fair. We’ll be honest and fair in return)

And the job title?
We suggest “Project Operations Coordinator” but if you think another title better fits who you are or how you work, feel free to choose. When everyone understands what you do, the title is yours to decide.
