Senior Process Engineer (m/f/x)

Hi, We are Chemploy!

We are a full-service team of skilled engineers, chemists, technologists and support staff (and big fans of Limburg, the Efteling, Sustainability, good Coffee, Stroopwafels and Innovative Process Technologies; but not necessarily in that order;)

We are breaking free from the engineers’ stereotype. That’s right, we do things that others only dream of!

We serve clients in Chemicals, Food and Life sciences who produce chemicals, food and pharmaceuticals for people all over the world or enable companies to do so. We work on projects in Engineering, R&D, quality, technology development and manufacturing. All of them promote sustainable development, innovation, growth and prosperity. As Chemploy is an organization that gets even greater with like-minded talent, we are looking for a: Senior Process Engineer (m/f/x)

What will you be doing?

As a Process Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the development of installations on an industrial scale, allowing our clients to take the next step to full commercialization. Your scope ranges from conceptual engineering to commissioning and everything in between, with a strong focus on process development. The opportunity is given to work with a variety of processes for different internationally operating clients, allowing you to broaden your engineering horizon and to develop your project management skills in the best way possible.

Examples of projects include:

  • Plant design “Waste to Chemicals” and other circular technologies
  • Scale up of innovative processes from lab/prototypeto pilot to production
  • Introduction of innovative apparatuses intoexisting installations (off- and on-site)
  • Laboratory development and planning/performance of tests

A key aspect of this is that you directly see the result of your effort and that you work in an environment where you can make a difference in line with the philosophy of Chemploy. Not only will you see the results of your work, Chemploy provides a working environment characterized by a high degree of freedom and independence that stimulates personal growth via tailor made training and education opportunities combined with challenging and versatile engineering projects at the forefront of technology.

Who do we look for?

We look for someone interested to contribute in an ambitious firm that does things a little different. For this position, we would like to get in touch with technical professionals who recognize themselves in this description:

  • A Masters or PhD in a relevant field (we consider chemical engineering to be the most relevant but are open for other backgrounds 😉
  • Your resume shows that you have worked a couple of years (or more) after the completion of your studies. If this is in the field of thermal processes like pyrolysis or gasification, then we consider this a big plus.
  • Customer focus and entrepreneurial attitude.
  • You feel comfortable to workon process development in the conceptual phase; you love to explore and exploit the fundamental principles that govern a given process.
  • You have a practical hands-on attitude and are keen to develop solutions that work in real life, not just in theory.
  • Socially engaged and well‑developed communicative skills. What we mean by that? Your reports are clear, concise and accurate. You align the info that you wish to share and you are a good listener.
  • Languages: English. Command of Dutch is preferred (if not: we offer a bespoke language training)

What can you expect?
